Days 1-3: See the Big 5 at Kruger | 3 Nights

Kruger National Park, South Africa

Your adventure begins in South Africa’s vibrant city of Johannesburg, where you’ll take a scheduled flight from OR Tambo International Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred privately to Lukimbi Safari Lodge, located approximately three hours away, where you’ll spend the next three nights.

Upon arrival at the lodge, settle into your comfortable, African-style suite before your safari adventure begins. The lodge is set within 15,000 hectares of private wilderness, and a skilled game ranger will guide you through this pristine section of the iconic Kruger National Park. When you’re not on a thrilling game drive in search of the Big 5 and other captivating wildlife, enjoy the luxury of the spa, dine under the stars, or simply unwind in your secluded suite, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wilderness.

Days 4-7: Beach Fun in Mozambique | 4 Nights

Maputo, Mozambique

After an early morning game drive and a hearty breakfast at Lukimbi Lodge, you’ll be collected for your road transfer to Mozambique. The scenic drive takes approximately three hours, bringing you to Maputo, the vibrant and historical capital city of Mozambique. From the harbour, you’ll embark on a private boat transfer across the serene Maputo Bay, heading towards the Machangulo Peninsula. Machangulo Nature Reserve, a pristine and untouched wilderness, is home to stunning beaches, golden dunes, and lush coastal woodlands. On the opposite side of the peninsula, you’ll find tranquil estuaries, beautiful mangrove forests, and flocks of flamingos, among other fascinating wildlife.

The beach portion of your vacation can be as adventurous or as relaxing as you desire: thrill-seekers will enjoy sailing on a traditional dhow, snorkelling, diving, exploring the estuaries, and visiting Inhaca Island. Inhaca offers boat trips to the uninhabited Portuguese Island, as well as excursions to the Marine Biology Museum or the Inhaca Lighthouse.
