 This 5 Days Serengeti Family Safari Package is designed specifically with family in mind, this safari of 5 days in Serengeti National Park combined action – packed game drives with kid – friendly activities for an unforgettable family adventure. 

Serengeti National Park is the most famous wildlife destination in Tanzania and among the best wildlife viewing destinations in the world, the park is located in the Northern Safari Circuit of Tanzania which is the most famous wildlife region in Tanzania. 

On this safari, you will spot game wildlife including the Big Five – lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, buffaloes and leopards. And if you visit in the right time for the migration, you will witness the world’s migration of wildlife with 2 millions of wildebeests accompanied by thousands of zebras and gazelles on their annual journey in search for pasture and water. 

On 5 Days Serengeti Family Safari, you will stay at luxurious lodges that is Arusha Coffee Lodge in Arusha and Four Seasons Safari Lodge which is an ideal based for exploring the wilderness of the Central Serengeti.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 5 DAYS SERENGETI FAMILY SAFARI 

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha 

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transfer to the hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will have a short city tour in Arusha City visiting the Cultural Heritage Center and The National Natural History Museum “the Old Boma Museum” among others.

Have dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Arusha Coffee Lodge 

Day 2-4: Serengeti National Park 

After breakfast at your lodge in Arusha, you will embark on a drive to Serengeti National Park where you will spend the following 2 nights exploring the Serengeti plains on full day game drives and optional sunrise hot air balloon safari. 

On game drives in Serengeti National Park that is morning and afternoon game drives, you will explore the endless plains of the park and enjoy sights of many animals calling Serengeti home such as lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, elands, giraffes and many others. 

On the sunrise hot air balloon, you will soar through the air at the height of trees as the sunrises. You will enjoy a spectacular sunrise as the orange -red sunrays hit the savannah landscape of Serengeti National Park.

From above the trees, you will enjoy aerial views of the park’s landscape and animals such as lions, wildebeests, leopards, herds of buffaloes among others. At the end of the experience, you will enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush as you toast to life and relive your experience. 

Note: Hot air balloon safari is available to children aged 7 and above. 

Another family-based activity you will participate in on this safari is Masai Cultural Experience taking you on a visit to the Masai Village where you will participate in livestock rearing, local dances and drama, visiting the traditional healer and learning how various plants are used to heal diseases among others. 

At your lodge, you can relax at the swimming pool or at the Spa to rejuvenate your body and soul.  During dinner at the Maji Bar and Terrace at your lodge – Four Seasons Safari Lodge, you will be entertained by local dances as you enjoy your meals. You can opt to attend an evening talk or wildlife documentary screening at the Discovery Centre. 

Visit the Discovery Centre to learn about the Serengeti Lion Project – optional activity 

Have dinner and stay overnight

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner 

Day 5: Departure

 After breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout and head for an en-route game drive in the Serengeti Plains which is the last safari experience on this safari package as you head back to Arusha. Along the way, you will enjoy lunch and then be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha City or at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight.
