Safari Overview – 9 days Tanzania safari and Zanzibar beach holiday offers a wildlife tour experience with a visit to the scenic Zanzibar Island. The tour includes visits to; Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and Zanzibar island.
9-day safari in the North of Tanzania with a visit to the known parks, Lake Manyara, The Serengeti, and Ngorongoro. After the safari fly to the beautiful tropical Island Zanzibar located in the South of Tanzania and choose from one of the hotels or villa’s to spent some days at, relax and keep the memories of the adventurous safari in mind. The stay at Zanzibar can be extended if required.
Brief Itinerary – 9 Days Tanzania & Zanzibar
- Day 1: Arusha > Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
- Day 2: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
- Day 3: Full day experience at Serengeti National Park
- Day 4: Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater via Olduvai Gorge
- Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater tour with picnic lunch
- Day 6: Transfer by flight to Zanzibar
- Day 7: Spend the whole day enjoying adventure activities at Zanzibar Island
- Day 8: Zanzibar
- Day 9: Zanzibar departure.
Detailed Itinerary – 9 Days Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar beach holiday
Day 1: Arusha> Lake Manyara National Park.
After breakfast at the hotel, an allocated Tanzania tour guide will be at the hotel or place of residence for pick up and briefing about the trip. After the briefing, you will then drive to Lake Manyara National Park. On arrival at the park, you will have lunch then proceed for an afternoon game drive.
The park is home to the shallow soda lakes which attract a variety of wildlife species including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants. One of the unique attractions in the park includes the tree climbing lions as well as the large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. After the game drive, you will transfer to a booked lodge/ budgethotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2:Lake Manyara> Serengeti National Park.
Start the day with breakfast then transfer to Serengeti National Park driving through the beautiful high lying farmlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Serengeti plains are at times referred to as endless because of the vastness of the park. Arriving at the lodge/ campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park.
Today a full day in Serengeti National Parl the most famous of the National Parks in Tanzania. With a total of 3 million mammals (approximately 1.6 million wild animals, 450,000 Thomson gazelles, 25,000 zebras, 109,000 Impala, 7,700 topies, 67,000 buffalo, 31,000 Grant’s gazelles, 12,000 giraffes, 6,000 warthogs.
The many lawns make Serengeti a paradise for predators. Most are hyenas, but the National Park is best known for its lions. You should undoubtedly be able to capture a pair of lions on camera while in the park, Serengeti National park is between 900 and 1850 m above sea level.
The first thing you see on the spot after the ride is – in ten Naabi hill is a vast, flat area of short grass, not a tree in sight for miles. As you approach Seronera in the center of the park, the grass is longer and numerous acacia trees can be seen on the Savannah. The distance from Arusha is 320 km, and the drive takes approximately 6 hours. You can also fly directly to the small air strip at Seronera. Lunch in the park, overnight at the camping pitch or lodge.
Day 4: Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater .
After breakfast in Serengeti, you will be transferred to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There will be a stopover at the famous Olduvai Gorge which boasts a history dating back to the start of humanity. At the Olduvai Gorge is where anthropologists Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered skulls of the early man.Boasting a high population of wildlife, the Ngorongoro crater offers spectacular wildlife viewing sights. Later on, you will visit Lake Magadi which is a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner that attracts the pink flamingos. Transfer to the preferred booked lodge/ campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater.
After breakfast, you will head out to the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day tour. Have a game drive in the crater then enjoy a picnic lunch at the famous hippo pool. After enjoying lunch with very spectacular views, you will have a short game drive in the Ngorongoro crater. Later on in the evening, you will retire to your booked accommodation facility for dinner and overnight in Arusha.
Day 6 to 9 :
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Zanzibar. Arriving at the beautiful Zanzibar Island, you will be transferred to a beach hotel using a private vehicle by a guide. Spend the rest of your holiday at your beach resort enjoying the breezes of the Indian Ocean and beautiful white-sand beaches.
The hotel at Zanzibar will be a *** hotel or resort and is included in the price if you like an upgrade into a **** there will be an additional cost.
