Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Kampala/Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Begin your 6 Days Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari with an early breakfast before your professional guide picks you up. Travel to Uganda’s largest conservation area, Murchison Falls National Park, stopping at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a 2-hour rhino tracking experience. Arrive at the park to witness the mighty Nile at the Top of the Falls before checking into your lodge.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park

Your Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari continues with a sunrise game drive spotting lions, elephants, and giraffes. After lunch, enjoy a Nile boat cruise to see hippos, crocodiles, and exotic birds. Return to your lodge at dusk.

Day 3: Murchison Falls>Queen Elizabeth National Park

Journey south through scenic landscapes on your 6-day safari, you will have hot lunch in Fort Portal. After lunch, you will have a long drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. Arrive in the park and drive to the lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight. The drive en route to the lodge can be productive in rewarding species like the Uganda kobs, elephants, giant forest hogs among others.

Day 4: Queen to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Today after breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site and home to the famous Mountain Gorillas making it the best place in Uganda for tracking these gentle giants. The drive to bwindi is very productive with scenic views of rolling hills on the country side. You may have a stopover to capture some beautiful moments or visit a local market before proceeding with the journey. Arrival will be later in the afternoon for evening relaxation, dinner and overnight. 

Day 5: Bwindi gorilla trekking

After breakfast, you will have your packed lunch ready then drive to the park headquarters for a briefing before the gorilla trekking activity. The highlight of your 6 Days Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari! Trek through misty forests (3-7 hours) to spend one unforgettable hour with mountain gorillas. Return to your lodge for celebration.  The activity takes between 3-7 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once you locate the gorilla family, you will be given one hour to watch them in their natural habitat playing, feeding, resting and going about their daily life. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Bwindi to Kampala

Conclude your Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari with a scenic return to Kampala, stopping at the Equator for photos and souvenirs before airport/hotel transfer. Have your morning breakfast and start your journey back to Kampala with a stopover at the equator for a photo session and you may also purchase some hand-made craft souvenirs before proceeding to Kampala, arriving later in the afternoon.  O
