The reserve hosts the Great Wildebeest Migration is the most spectacular wildlife sighting on the planet with over 2 million wildebeests accompanied by zebras and gazelles, the herds fill the plains of the reserve from July to October.
The second destination to visit and explore on this 6 Days Amboseli and Masai Mara Wildlife Safari is Amboseli National Park, the park is known as the land of giants and is renowned for hosting large herds of elephants. The park also has an incredible scenery created by the snow-capped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest mountain in Africa and tallest free-standing mountain in the world.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 6 DAYS AMBOSELI AND MASAI MARA WILDLIFE SAFARI
Day 1: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi or upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative then start the journey to Amboseli National Park along the Mombasa Road. Arrive in park in time for lunch, then go for a game drive for sights of animals including large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs among others.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Drive Time – 4 hours or Schedule flight time – 35 minutes
Day 2: Full day Game drives in Amboseli National Park
Have early breakfast at your lodge and head out for a full day game drive with your packed lunch which you will enjoy at one of the picnic sites in the park while watching animals freely roaming around.
As you explore the park, lookout for a variety of wildlife such as cape buffaloes, impalas, lions, large herds of elephants, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, grant’s zebras, wildebeests and cheetahs.
In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After a mouthwatering breakfast, you will drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through the vast landscape as you drive down the escarpment via Narok, you will have a stopover at the view point to enjoy the incredible views of escarpments.
When you arrive in the reserve, you will check in at your lodge for lunch and short relaxation. Then go for an evening game drive in the endless plains of Masai Mara, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Drive time – 9 hours or Schedule flight time – 35 minute
Day 4 & 5: Full Day Game drives – Masai Mara
After breakfast, you will head to the reserve for a full day game viewing with packed lunch box for a picnic lunch at a picnic site along the Mara River.
Explore the savannah grassland and rolling hills, you will enjoy sightings of many animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, olive baboons, Thomson’s gazelles, elusive cheetahs, impalas, topis, spotted hyenas, zebras among others.
Alternatively, you can do a Hot Air balloon safari. Conquer the sky above the endless plains of Masai Mara National Reserve and enjoy aerial view of animals.

Day 6: Transfer from Masai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive as you exit the reserve on your way back to Nairobi. You will arrive in time for lunch then transfer to the airport for your departure flight back home.
