Day 1: Nairobi> Mara.

Departure from Nairobi for Masai Mara. Picnic lunch en route in Narok. Upon arrival to the camp / lodge. After a short rest and if there is enough time, we do a game drive in search of the blackmaned lions, leopard, cheetah, buffalo and other game. Return to the camp / lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Masai Mara.

After breakfast an early morning game drive. In the early morning, wild animals such as felines have just woken up and are hunting for prey. This is often the right time to watch a lion catch prey. However, it is also a matter of luck. After the game drive, return to the camp / lodge for lunch. After lunch we do another game drive. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.

Day 3: Masai Mara.

A full day with game drives, optional a walk or a visit to a Masai village in between meals. The Masai village is located within walking distance of the camping pitch in the Mara. The Masai live in a manyata where the houses are built of clay and cow dung. Dried by the sun, it forms a very hard mass that protects against rain and wildlife. There is a musty smell in the huts because the hut is almost completely closed except for the entrance. Cooking, firing and living here is done in a very limited space that is also shared with the goats and chickens. A visit to the Masai village is not included and costs about USD 10 per person. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.

After breakfast to Nakuru National Park for an early morning game drive. This park is known for the millions of flamingos and rich in other bird species. Also present is a rhino sanctuary and of course there are other wild animals. Upon arrival we disembark to walk to the lake which offers a magnificent view of the millions of pink flamingos. After lunch we leave for Samburu. Arrival late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge.

Day 6: Samburu.

After breakfast to the park for an early morning game drive. Return to the camp / lodge for lunch. Another game drive in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the camp / lodge. Samburu is known for its Roth shield giraffes, these have a different markings than the Masai giraffes. The park is home to the shallow soda lakes which attracts a variety of wildlife species including one of Africa’s largest concentration of elephants. One of the unique attractions in the park includes the tree climbing lions as well as the large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. After the game drive, you will transfer to a booked hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight.

Game Drive in Serengeti

Day 12: Game Drive In Serengeti

Have breakfast then go for a full-day game drive in the Serengeti plains. The game drive takes you along the Sogore River circuit which twists into the plains south of the Seronera River. Since this is a water area, wildlife collects in this area to quench its thirst. Some of the wildlife animals to look out for here include lions, Thompson gazelle, topi, and cheetahs. After the morning game drive, return to the hotel for lunch or have a picnic lunch. Later in the afternoon take a game drive on the kopjes. Lunch on the way.  Boasting a high population of wildlife, the Ngorongoro crater offers spectacular wildlife viewing sights. Later on, you will visit Lake Magadi which is a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner that attracts the pink flamingos. Transfer to campsite or lodge for your dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro conservation area Tanzania

After enjoying lunch with very spectacular views, you will then be transferred to Tarangire National Park. On arrival at the park, check-in and drive through the gigantic Baobab at the entrance, see the mischievous monkeys darting about in the shade. Continue inside the park to the Tarangire River that is lined with acacia and Baobab where wildlife cluster all day long. With the river being a collective point for most of the wildlife from the Masai steppe. Have a short game drive en route to your booked accommodation facility for dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Full day at Tarangire National Park.

After breakfast at the hotel, head out to the park for a game drive. Some of the animals that can be spotted here include the Greater kudu, Fringe-Eared Oryx, and the Ashy Starling. After the game drive, have a picnic lunch with a view of the Tarangire River, but be watchful of your food as the monkeys will roam around. Return to Arusha for overnight.

Day 16 – 21: Enjoy Zanzibar

Spend 5 nights 6 days at the tropical beautiful Island Zanzibar. Jewel Safaris has a jewel in a female driver, Rachel My trip to Lake Mburo National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park on 5th Jan 2024, could not have gone better. My great experience was all down to Jewel Safaris' professionalism and industry experience. The car arrived at my house on time (5 am) to pick me up for the trip. The tour guide driver, a lady named Rachel Aheebwa, was such a delight. Female tour guides drivers are so rare, so this was unexpected. But looking back at how much of a success my tour went, Rachel was the best part of the trip. Two hours into the drive, she suggested a breakfast place that turned out to serve the best coffee I'd ever taken. The small eatery happened to be ran by a lady with tourism experience of 17 years. We set off for Lake Mburo about an hour later and arrived at the park gate three hours later. Because we planned to sleep in Queen Elizabeth National Park and we still had hundreds of kilometers to cover, she made sure we wasted no time Mburo. She was always friendly and firm in her advice when it came to time keeping. We made it to our final destination before dark and had time to rest. Before going to bed, she told me, firmly that we must leave at 7 if we are to see all the animals we wanted to see. I would have loved to sleep in but she made it clear that this was not an option. I was later thankful for this. There were several tourist vehicles at the UWA offices when we arrived. After payments, all the cars left through a Northwards track but Rachel went Eastwards and in less than thirty minutes of Game driving, we hit a jack pot. We found lions on the road and I was able to take close up pictures for several minutes as she made calls to all her friends letting them know that she had found lions. By the time all the vehicles crowded around the lions, I had spend over half an an hour with them. One of the best moments of my life. Jewel safaris couldn't have chosen a better tour guide driver for me. Every thing was well planned to help me see all there was to be seen.

Murchison Falls Adventure This was my first safari adventure and it was a trip of a lifetime. The owner, Dona was very professional and helpful and made sure he understood what we wanted. The vehicle was wonderful and roomy and well kept. Our guide, Patrick made the trip exceptional. He knew the park, he knew the animals and he was a former ranger who spent years protecting the animals of that park. It was clear that the other guides respected him and Patrick was kind, funny and made sure we had a wonderful adventure. The first night, the owner called me to ask how everything was going and he messaged me after the trip to make sure we had a great time. That was above and beyond what I expected. Great company, great customer service and fantastic guide with years of experience. This is the company I would choose over and over.

Two-day trip to Lake Mburo Our two-day trip to Lake Mburo with our driver and guide Patrick was great. He delivered what we asked for, and more! Other than being a very kind person and good driver, Patrick was able to share a lot of information about the different animals and places we encountered. A big thanks to Jewel Safaris and Patrick! 100% Recommend!

Great agency We ordered the trip in 2019 to go to Uganda in April 2020. Then Covid came and the trip was postponed for 2,5 yrs and in the meantime we kept contact and When we finally could go it all went super-smooth. Well organized and very friendly personnel and a fantastic guide. Nothing went wrong during the 10 days we visited and the arrangements were spotless.
