Day 1: Genocide Memorial Tour and Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

At 9:00 AM, you will be picked up by our guide for a meet and greet. We will then embark on a Kigali city tour, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. This tour will take approximately 1 to 2 hours. Following the memorial visit, we will proceed to Nyungwe National Park. Upon arrival, you will check into the hotel.

In the evening, your guide will provide a detailed briefing about the upcoming chimpanzee trekking activity. After dinner, you’ll have time to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Chimp Trek, Canopy Walk, and Transfer to Bukavu

You will wake up at 5:00 AM. Breakfast will be served at 5:30 AM, after which we will proceed to Nyungwe National Park. The guides will provide a briefing on the day’s activities. The chimpanzee trek will last 2-3 hours, followed by a canopy walk.

Afterward, we will head to Bukavu. At the border, our guide will assist you with documentation. Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel.

In the evening, your guide will provide a detailed briefing on what to expect during the upcoming gorilla trek.

Day 3: Gorilla Trek at Kahuzi Biega

You will wake up at 5:30 AM, with breakfast served at 6:00 AM. At 6:30 AM, we will depart for the National Park gate, approximately a 1-hour drive away. The gorilla trek typically lasts 3-4 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas.

After the trek, we will return to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy a BBQ dinner, followed by a restful night.

Day 4: Tour of Nyanza King’s Palace and Transfer to Kigali

You will wake up at 6:30 AM, with breakfast served at 7:00 AM. At 7:20 AM, we will check out and head to Butare. There, you will visit the National Museum and Nyanza King’s Palace, with a tour lasting approximately 2 hours.

Following the tour, we will proceed to Kigali. Our guide will drop you off at your place of stay.
