Day 1: Entebbe International Airport and Transfer to the Hotel
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative and your safari guide will welcome you to Uganda. After a safari briefing, you will be transferred to your hotel. Entebbe Town is located near Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake. Your overnight stay will be at Green Valley Guesthouse & Backpack.

Day 2: Uganda White Water Rafting in Jinja
You will have an early morning transfer to Jinja, affectionately known as the ‘Adventure Capital of East Africa’. Jinja offers some of the most thrilling tourism activities in Africa, including white water rafting on a series of rapids near the source of the Nile. This destination is regarded as one of the world’s premier white water rafting and kayaking spots.
For the adventurous, there’s a 700m-long aerial runway to cross the Nile, and a 44m bungee jump from a platform cantilevered over the river. Additionally, quad biking and horseback safaris through local farms and communities are available for an exciting exploration of the countryside and local life. Your overnight stay will be at Forest Cottages Naguru.

Day 3: Kampala – Rhino Trekking at Ziwa Sanctuary and Wildlife Ranch – Gulu
After a leisurely breakfast, you will depart for Gulu, passing through the famous Luwero Triangle. Your journey includes a stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Wildlife Ranch for a unique rhino trekking experience. The sanctuary is home to rhinos that are being reintroduced to national parks from which they had been previously extinct. After your rhino trekking adventure, you will continue northward to Gulu.

Day 4: From Gulu Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
After breakfast, you will set out for Kidepo Valley National Park, driving through the communities of the Kalangala people. Depending on the schedule, the guide may take a break to interact with these communities, providing insight into their unique culture.
You will arrive at Kidepo Valley National Park in the evening and check into Kidepo Savannah Lodge or a similar lodge bordering the park.

Day 5: Game Drive Safari in Kidepo Valley National Park
Spend the full day exploring Kidepo Valley National Park with a wildlife game drive and cultural visit to the nearby village of Karamojong. The Karamojongs, akin to Kenya’s Masai, were historically nomadic pastoralists but have recently incorporated farming into their lifestyle. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about their culture and witness their traditional dance.

Day 6: Wildlife Safari in Kidepo Valley National Park and Karamajong Community and Cultural Tour
A cultural visit to Kidepo Valley National Park offers a wildlife bonanza with another game drive. In the afternoon, you will visit the nearby village of Karamojong. The Karamojongs, closely related to the Masai in Kenya, were traditionally nomadic pastoralists but have recently embraced farming and agriculture. Day 8: Game Drive, Boat Cruise Safari and Top of Murchison Falls National Park
Begin the day with an early breakfast to kickstart an adventurous game drive in the peninsula between Victoria and Lake Albert Nile, where you’ll encounter a high concentration of wildlife. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls, where the earth trembles under the power of one of the world’s most formidable waterfalls. Day 9: Shoebill Tour to the Delta Boat Cruise Murchison Falls National Park – Kibale National Park

Day 12: Uganda Chimpanzee Trekking Experience, Kibale Forest National Park
The Uganda chimpanzee trekking experience offers a unique opportunity to follow a chimpanzee group in their natural habitat. Accompanied by Kibale reserve researchers and rangers, you will explore the forest floor as the chimps search for fruits and vocalize. Day 13 Kibale National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park with Rwenzori Mountain National Park

This route offers stunning views of beautiful, cool crater lakes and the Rwenzori Mountain ranges in Rwenzori Mountains National Park. Day 17: Optional Rwanda Gorilla Trekking – Volcanoes National Park

Day 19: Optional Rwanda Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy Walk – Rusiizi

Day 20: Rusiizi, Rwanda – Kahuzi Biega National Park, Congo (DRC) – Lowland Gorilla Trekking

You will proceed to Kahuzi Biega National Park to participate in lowland gorilla trekking upon arrival. Once located, you’ll have the opportunity to spend one hour observing them up close. After your experience, you will return to the starting point and transfer back to Bukavu, or Rwanda if time allows for border crossing.
