Day 1: Transfer from Kigali-Rwanda to Goma in Congo

At your residence in Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, driver-guide will pick you up for the transfer to Congo. Following a brief introduction, the journey to Goma Congo will commence via the Gisenyi border. The drive to the border takes approximately four hours. Upon reaching the border, you will undergo clearance and then proceed to Goma, where you will continue a lodge for your stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience in Virunga National Park

On day two, be prepared to wake up early for breakfast before embarking on a Gorilla trekking adventure Virunga National Park. The trek begins at a location Bukima. As you set out on the trek, ensure you carry some packed food, water, and your camera equipment.

You will meet the park rangers who will guide you through the forest during a Gorilla trekking experience that lasts approximately to 8 hours. The duration of the trek depends on the location where the Gorilla family you are searching for spent the previous night. If they were farther away, the trek will take longer, vice versa.

Upon finally encountering the Mountain Gorilla family, you will be allowed to spend maximum of one observing their behavior and capturing memorable photos and. Afterwards, you will trek back to starting point for drive back to your hotel. You refresh, relax, and enjoy dinner at the lodge where you spent the previous night.

Day 3: Second Gorilla trek in Virunga National Park

This morning, you have breakfast and then proceed for the second trekking tour. The day begins with a briefing similar to the previous day followed by the allocation to a different group for trekking. This arrangement allows you the Mountain Gorillas in two distinct ways. After the trek, you return to the hotel.

Day 4: Transfer to Kigali/Kigali International Airport for Departure

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, begin your return journey to Kigali. You will cross the border at Goma and proceed to Kigali, where your guide will ensure a smooth drop-off either at your residence in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
