Your adventure kicks off in Livingstone, Zambia, where you’ll explore the mighty Victoria Falls and enjoy exciting Zambezi River activities. In Botswana, the safari portion of your trip truly begins, with opportunities to track the Big 5 and encounter other iconic wildlife like wild dogs, hyenas, hippos, giraffes, and zebras. You’ll visit the Chobe Enclave and the renowned Okavango Delta, staying in authentic, rustic tented camps. The safari experience includes a mix of land and water-based activities such as game drives, canoeing, boating, wildlife tracking on foot, and even a thrilling helicopter flight!

Day 1-4: Victoria Falls | 3 Nights
Your adventure begins at Livingstone Airport in Zambia, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to Thorntree River Lodge. Set right on the banks of the Zambezi River, this contemporary lodge is just a short drive from Victoria Falls. Enjoy the spacious family suite, complete with indoor and outdoor bathrooms and your own private plunge pool.
Nestled at the edge of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, the lodge offers easy access to the excitement of the Falls, yet provides a peaceful retreat with the soothing sounds of birdsong each morning. Activities include visits to the Falls, guided nature walks, rhino trekking, game drives in the national park, cultural village tours, sunset river cruises, and fishing. When you’re not exploring, unwind at the infinity pool, indulge in a spa treatment, or enjoy a selection from the temperature-controlled wine cellar.
Day 4-7: Chobe National Park| 3 Nights
On the fourth morning of your African journey, you will leave the Zambezi River behind and set off for Botswana, known for its stunning landscapes, rich birdlife, and abundant predators. A road transfer will take you to Kasane Airport, where you’ll board a flight to the Chobe Enclave, a game-rich area nestled between Chobe National Park and the Linyanti swamps. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you’ll be warmly greeted and transferred to Linyanti Ebony, your next destination.

In the evenings, relax in the intimate dining and lounge area, where you can enjoy wholesome meals and share stories of the African bush around a central fire.

Day 7-10: Okavango Delta
After three nights at Linyanti Ebony, your adventure continues to one of Botswana’s most iconic landscapes: the Okavango Delta, located within Moremi Game Reserve. You will board a scheduled light aircraft flight from Linyanti to the eastern edge of Moremi, where you can observe the transformation from savannah to lush forests and wetlands as you approach the Delta. Upon landing at Khwai Airstrip, you’ll transfer to the lagoon-side Khwai Leadwood camp.
Khwai Leadwood is ideally located on the unfenced border between Moremi Game Reserve and a private community area, giving you access to the best of both worlds. On day game drives, you’ll explore the vast Moremi, and you’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy additional activities on the private conservancy, including off-road driving, night drives to track elusive species, and guided walks through mopane woodlands, grasslands, and riverbanks. When water levels are high, mokoro (canoe) safaris are available, offering a unique way to navigate the Delta. You can also connect with local culture through village tours.
The Khwai area is renowned for exceptional game viewing, with abundant wildlife roaming the area. The camp emphasizes eco-travel and sustainable development, as evidenced by its solar-powered energy and efficient water usage. As a small, intimate tented camp, it’s ideal for a family vacation. Each suite has an en suite bathroom and offers lovely views of the lagoon.
If time permits, you’ll wake up early for a final safari activity before enjoying a full breakfast. Afterward, you’ll depart for Khwai River Airstrip for your short flight to Maun International Airport.
