Overview of the Suggested Zimbabwe Safari Lodges and Activities:
Victoria Falls is an essential stop on any Zimbabwe itinerary, and we love including it at the start of the trip to help guests acclimatize after their flights. That said, there’s plenty to do beyond the Falls. Thrill-seekers can enjoy world-famous activities such as white-water rafting, bungee jumping, canoeing, zip-lining, and gorge swinging. For an even more daring experience, try swimming in the aptly named Devil’s Pool, located right on the edge of the Falls – truly an awe-inspiring experience! For those preferring a slower pace, enjoy relaxing river cruises, shop in Victoria Falls Town, or take excursions to the local villages to learn about the region’s rich culture.
After Victoria Falls, your adventure continues in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe’s largest wildlife reserve. Home to over 108 species of mammals, including lion, leopard, and cheetah, Hwange is an elephant lover’s paradise. Witness massive herds of elephants often seen at the camps or from the park’s photographic hides, offering unparalleled opportunities for close-up elephant encounters. This is a must-visit destination for elephant enthusiasts.
