Overview of Old Drift Lodge

Zimbabwe, Zambia, Victoria Falls

In the late 1800s, the Old Drift settlement was established at one of the busiest crossing points on the Zambezi River. Though the town was soon abandoned and reclaimed by nature, it’s now home to Old Drift Lodge, situated just upstream from the world’s largest waterfall. This luxury safari lodge offers breathtaking 360-degree views over the Zambezi River, blending old-world charm with modern comforts like air conditioning, private plunge pools, and Wi-Fi.

Old Drift Lodge is an unfenced, family-friendly retreat within Zambezi National Park, where you can explore the wilderness on 4×4 game drives, riverboat safaris, and guided nature walks. Experience the grandeur of Victoria Falls on a guided tour, followed by lunch at the Lookout Café, perched 120 meters above the dramatic Batoka Gorge.

For thrill-seekers, optional activities like canopy tours, white-water rafting, and swimming in Devil’s Pool at Livingstone Island are available. Conclude your day with a spectacular helicopter flight over the Falls at sunset, known as the Flight of Angels.
