Mpala Jena Camp

Zimbabwe, Zambia, Victoria Falls
Nestled in a private corner of Zambezi National Park, Mpala Jena Camp offers a secluded Victoria Falls experience. While the iconic falls are just a 45-minute game drive or a 30-minute boat transfer away, the camp itself sits in the heart of the wilderness, with spacious tented suites perched on decking beneath towering riverside trees. From here, you can take in the untamed beauty of the Zambezi River, where hippos grunt in the waters, wildlife occasionally strolls through camp, and the call of the African fish eagle fills the air.

Named after the stream that runs through the camp—and the legendary “white impala” antelope—Mpala Jena blends seamlessly into the environment. Constructed with recycled hardwoods and sturdy canvas, the camp runs on solar power and serves simple yet high-quality dishes, complemented by a well-stocked wine cellar. Game drives or boat safaris led by expert guides take you in search of the park’s abundant wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, giraffes, lions, and spotted hyenas.

Open year-round, Mpala Jena offers an authentic safari experience for those seeking to explore Victoria Falls in a true wilderness setting. The camp is family-friendly, welcoming children aged six and over, while also providing a romantic atmosphere for couples, honeymooners, and groups of friends. Each of the five private suites features its own lounge and sun deck, and there are two luxury 2-bedroom family suites available for those traveling with children.
