Lake Nkuruba reserve is located 25km south of Fort portal town. The lake sits astride the stunningly magnificent beautiful landscapes of the Rwenzori mountain ranges and Kibale forest national park.

Birds
Uganda is the home to several bird species (1061 species of birds). These bird species are spread all over different places inclusive of Lake Nkuruba reserve.
The main birds spotted here for the bird lovers are the great blue Turacco and the black and the white casqued HornBill bird. Birders welcome home.
