Kasubi tombs are found on Kasubi hill a few kilometres from Kampala city. Kasubi tombs are located in the center of the Buganda kingdom about 5 kilometers from the city. These tombs were formally used as a palace by Kabaka Muteesa I but after his demise, he was buried inside and that’s how Kasubi tombs permanently became the burial grounds for the Buganda kings and other prominent personnel of the kingdom. It ceased being a palace from that day forth.
