Days 1–4 THE LINYANTI

Savuti Camp is a classic safari retreat, located along the banks of the Savuti Channel within a private concession. Whether the channel is flowing or dry, this camp places you front and center to the raw drama of the African wilderness. After arriving in Botswana, you’ll head to the Linyanti reserve for three nights of exceptional wildlife viewing.

Highlights of Linyanti include four of the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – as well as cheetah, hyena, jackal, wild dog, hippo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and an impressive variety of antelope. Birdwatchers will be delighted by sightings of fish eagle, saddle-billed stork, lilac-breasted roller, and many more species.

The activities include expertly guided game drives, night drives, star-bed sleep-outs, and viewing from hides. Other options include seasonal boat trips, guided walks, and catch-and-release fishing. Days 4–7 OKAVANGO DELTA

From Linyanti, you’ll travel to Little Vumbura Camp, a long-time favorite of ours! Nestled on a private island, it offers stunning views over the exclusive concession it occupies. Wildlife here includes lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo (four of the Big Five!), along with hyena, hippo, giraffe, greater kudu, tsessebe, and red lechwe.

Birdwatchers will also delight in spotting species like white-backed night heron, wattled crane, and Pel’s fishing owl.

Activities are available year-round and include expertly guided game drives, night drives, boat trips, and mokoro excursions. Seasonal activities include guided walks and catch-and-release fishing. For an extra treat, you can opt for a scenic helicopter flight!
