Days 1–3 CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

For the first leg of your Botswana safari on a budget, you’ll head to Chobe National Park and stay at  Chobe Elephant Camp** for two nights. This eco-style camp is perched on a ridge with stunning views of the Chobe River and its floodplain. The open-plan lounge and dining area seamlessly flow into a traditional boma, creating a relaxed atmosphere. A pathway leads to a viewing deck with a swimming pool, offering a perfect spot to take in the views.

Days 3–6 OKAVANGO DELTA

After Chobe, you’ll journey to the Okavango Delta, staying at two unique properties. First up is Sango Safari Camp, where you’ll spend three nights. This charming tented camp features an open main area and Meru-style tents, offering stunning views of floodplains, riverine forests, and dry woodlands teeming with wildlife.
Enjoy the scenery from your private veranda. Situated between the Khwai River and the predator-rich Moremi Game Reserve, Sango offers fantastic game-viewing opportunities with day and night game drives, all-day excursions, and mokoro rides.
While this area is busier than deeper parts of the Okavango, it still provides chances to spot four of the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo—along with cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, and much more!

Days 6–8 OKAVANGO DELTA

Mokoro, Pom Pom, Okavango Delta, Botswana

A short light aircraft flight takes you from Sango to Pom Pom, where you’ll spend the final two nights of your Botswana safari on a private island in one of the Delta’s best-value private reserves.

Pom Pom is a cozy, adventurous retreat set in an area of stunning scenery, with reed-fringed channels and waterlily lagoons. The safari tents each have a private veranda with sweeping views of the lagoon. Activities focus on exploring the local wildlife with morning and evening game drives, as well as mokoro excursions.

This area is teeming with wildlife, and fishing is also available, with expert guides ready to help you catch African pike and various types of bream.
