Days 1–4 CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

Lion cubs, Savute Safari Lodge, Chobe, Botswana

The safari begins with three nights in the Savute region of Chobe National Park, an exceptional wildlife area that’s less crowded than the Kasane section. Savute Safari Lodge is one of the best properties in the region, offering a distinctive experience with a waterhole right in front of the camp, often visited by elephants and large predators.
The lodge features a viewing deck providing prime views of wildlife around the waterhole, an al-fresco dining area, and a swimming pool with loungers for ultimate relaxation. Your days will be filled with game drives around Savute Marsh, encountering a wide range of wildlife. You can also enjoy trips to Gubatsa Hills, where you’ll find ancient San rock paintings, adding a cultural touch to your adventure.

Days 4–7 MOREMI GAME RESERVE

Plunge pool, Camp Xakanaxa, Moremi, Botswana

After leaving Chobe, you’ll head to Moremi Game Reserve, the oldest protected area of the Okavango Delta, for a three-night stay at Camp Xakanaxa. Set along the Khwai River on the Xakanaxa Lagoon, this classic tented camp offers one of the few authentic year-round land and water safari experiences in the Delta.

The area is renowned for its predator sightings, including all the big cats, which you’ll encounter on daily 4×4 game drives. Additional activities at Camp Xakanaxa include powerboat cruises and exceptional birdwatching, especially during the spring and summer months when migrant species are nesting.

Days 7–9 OKAVANGO DELTA

Sleepout, Camp Okavango, Botswana safari
For the final part of your adventure, you’ll travel to the Okavango Delta and stay at Camp Okavango, your third Desert & Delta property. This classic water camp, located on the remote Nxaragha Island, offers a tranquil retreat with its communal spaces connected by walkways over the water. These include two lounges, a library, and a dining room.
The lower level features two fire pits and a deck with a rim-flow swimming pool. The guest rooms have private decks offering breathtaking views of the Delta. Activities at the camp include motorboat safaris, mokoro excursions, and walking safaris on the surrounding islands.
While predators are less common in these wetland areas, the Delta is home to plenty of herbivores, including buffalo, hippo, giraffe, and various antelope species, and the birdlife is exceptional.
