Your adventure begins in Victoria Falls, staying at the historic Victoria Falls Hotel, which offers views of the iconic Victoria Falls Bridge and the Batoka Gorge. After soaking in the sights, you’ll travel to northern Botswana’s Chobe Forest Reserve, where you’ll stay at Muchenje Safari Lodge for three nights. This homely lodge is located on the quieter western side of Chobe National Park. The trip concludes with a stay at Splash Camp, situated in the largest private reserve in the Okavango Delta, offering a mix of land and water-based activities.

At the Victoria Falls Hotel, the Activities Centre provides a wide array of watersports and local excursions. At both Muchenje and Splash Camp, you can enjoy game drives, guided walks, boat cruises, and birdwatching. The wildlife includes four of the Big Five, a variety of predators, and numerous herbivores.

Days 1–3 VICTORIA FALLS

Afternoon tea, The Victoria Falls Hotel, Zimbabwe

On the first day of your trip, you’ll arrive at Victoria Falls Airport and spend two nights in Zimbabwe. Your accommodation will be at the renowned Victoria Falls Hotel, an impressive property offering stunning views of the Victoria Falls Bridge and the Batoka Gorge below the waterfall. The hotel features luxurious communal areas including elegant lounges, three restaurants, a spa, a salon, a curio shop, two tennis courts, and a spacious swimming pool.

The guest rooms are styled in Edwardian décor, with many rooms offering spectacular views over the lush gardens. The hotel boasts its own **Activities Centre, where friendly staff assist in organizing a wide range of excursions such as tours, watersports, helicopter and microlight flights, horse trails, elephant-back safaris in Victoria Falls National Park, river cruises, and village visits.

Days 3–6 CHOBE NATIONAL PARK

After your time in Victoria Falls, you’ll head to the Chobe area and spend three nights at Muchenje Safari Lodge, located in the tranquil Chobe Forest Reserve, away from the busier eastern side of Chobe National Park. The lodge offers stunning views of the Chobe Riverand its floodplains, creating a peaceful setting for your stay.

The main area of the lodge is a charming wood-and-thatch structure, housing a cozy lounge, dining area, and bar. There’s also a lovely deck and a refreshing swimming pool to enjoy during your downtime. Accommodation at Muchenje consists of thatched cottages, each with a private veranda that overlooks the river.

Muchenje offers a comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding national park. On game drives, walking safaris, and boat trips, you’ll have the chance to see abundant wildlife, including massive herds of elephant and buffalo, predators like lion, leopard, and wild dog, and a rich variety of bird species.

Days 6–9 OKAVANGO DELTA

After Chobe, your adventure continues to Splash Camp, located in the northern region of the Okavango Delta.

Operated by Kwando Safaris, this lodge enjoys an exceptional location in the Delta’s largest private reserve. The communal spaces are housed in a timber-and-thatch structure raised above ground level, offering a unique perspective of the surroundings. Outdoors, you’ll find a cozy fire-pit and a plunge pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of activities.

Guest rooms at Splash Camp all feature private verandas with stunning views of the floodplains. During your stay, you’ll have the chance to experience a variety of activities, including day and night game drives, guided walks, boat cruises, mokoro excursions, seasonal fishing, and visits to nearby heronries. While on safari, you can look out for four of the Big Five, smaller predators, herbivores, and a remarkable diversity of birdlife.
