Quad biking safaris in Jinja – Uganda

Jinja is widely referred to as the Adrenaline capital of East Africa? Quad biking is one of the most exciting activities to engage in while touring Jinja town. Everyone above the age of 12 years qualifies to take part in this fun experience. The number of participants for quad biking is not limited and the activity last about 1 to 4 hours after a training that takes about 30 minutes.  For safety, every participant is equipped safety gear including goggles and overalls. One does not need to have experience with the bikes in order to participate. The topics covered during the briefing are generally about how to manage the bike on the road, how to maintain stability and remain on track and also look out for the locals crossing the road.  Apart from general safety measures, participants are also warned about unnecessary overtaking/competition. Participants are either assigned manual or automatic bikes. After the briefing and training, bikers are fitted with overalls helmets and other safety equipment. The group then follows the lead biker for the fun filled activity that goes through the country side. As you ride, the guide will narrate to you some information about the Nile and Jinja town.

You should have a right choice of clothing so as to avoid being affected by the mud or dust but also for comfort while riding. Clothing like overalls and gumboots to protect against mud and watery surface will be provided by the quad biking company but you may carry your own. Cameras carried must also be kept in dust and water resistant bags. The best and ideal time for doing this fun quad biking activity in Jinja is during the rainy seasons when the countryside is very scenic. The mud and slippery ground also make the activity more exciting.
