6 Days Uganda Cultural Tour
6 days Uganda cultural tour will start with pick up from Entebbe airport before driving to Fort Portal town and also visiting Semuliki national park to see the hot springs. You will also engage in a cultural experience at the Tooro palace and also visit the crater lakes in Fort Portal. During the 6 days Uganda cultural tour, you will also go to Kibale national park and engage in chimpanzee trekking, bigodi tour and also visit a local community.
Detailed itinerary:
Day 1; arrival
Your guide will welcome you upon your arrival at Entebbe international airport and after loading the luggage in the safari car, you will be driven to the hotel for check in. Depending on your time of arrival in Entebbe, you will have an optional tour around Entebbe town.Day 2; drive to Fort Portal and visit hot springs in Semuliki national park
After having breakfast at the hotel in Entebbe, you will start your journey to Fort Portal town and enjoy a scenic drive around terraced hills as well as tea plantations. You will have a stop in Fort Portal town for lunch and proceed to Semuliki national park to visit the Sempaya hot springs. You will engage in a nature walk to the Sempaya hot springs and encounter various bird species as well as primates like colobus monkeys during the visit to Semuliki national park. After this tour, you will be driven to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.Day 3; visit crater lakes and Tooro palace
You will have breakfast at the hotel and prepare for an exciting tour to the famous crater lakes in Fort Portal town. You will engage in a short hike to the crater lakes and enjoy amazing views as you learn about these crater lakes such as Lake Nkuruba, Lake Nyabikere, Lake Nyinabulitwa, Lake Nyamirima, Lake Nyinambuga among others. After the crater lakes tour in Fort portal, you will have a lunch break and after lunch you will visit the Tooro palace for an insight and firsthand experience of the Tooro culture and after the days activities your guide will drive you to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4; drive to Kibale national park and visit local community
After having breakfast at the hotel, your guide will drive you from Fort portal town to Kibale national park which is home to chimpanzees and other primates as well as numerous bird species. You will check in at your hotel and after lunch you will take part in a cultural tour to interact with the locals and visit their villages as you get to know more about their way of life. After the community tour, you will be driven to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.Day 5; chimpanzee trek and bigodi tour
You will have an early breakfast at the lodge and proceed to the Kanyanchu headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park. After the briefing, you will be allocated ranger guides who will trek with you into Kibale forest. while you explore the forest, you will see different tree species, encounter primates like black and white colobus monkeys and also butterflies. You will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees in the forest and return to the park headquarters to receive your certificates for completing the activity. You will also engage in a guided nature walk to Bigodi which is also a famous bird watching spot in Kibale national park. You will hear different bird calls during the nature walk and also get closer to the forest and the surroundings and see more primates in the trees. After this tour, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
