5 Days Kibale and Semuliki Tour
5 days Kibale and Semuliki tour will start in Entebbe and then continue to Kibale national park with a stop in Fort Portal town for a short tour. You will also take part in chimpanzee trekking and the Bigodi tour in Kibale national park and also visit Semuliki national park for a tour of the hot springs and a nature walk.
Detailed Itinerary: 5 Days Kibale and Semuliki Tour
Day 1: pick up and drive to Entebbe
Your guide will pick you up from the airport on arrival and welcome you for your Kibale and Semuliki Tour safari. After a short briefing and loading the luggage in the safari vehicle, you will be driven to the hotel for check-in. Depending on your time of arrival at Entebbe you will relax at the hotel or visit Entebbe town.Day 2: Drive to Kibale National Park via Fort Portal town
After breakfast at the hotel in Entebbe, your guide will pick you up and you will start your journey to Kibale national park with a stop in Fort Portal town for lunch you will explore the town, visit the Tooro palace and later go to the lodge where you will have dinner and overnight stay.Day 3: Chimpanzee trek and bigodi tour
You will have an early breakfast at the lodge and proceed to the Kanyanchu headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee trekking in Kibale national park. After the briefing, you will be allocated ranger guides who will trek with you into the Kibale forest in groups of 8 people. During the chimpanzee trekking in the Kibale forest, you will get to learn about the different tree species, and see other primates like black and white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and also butterflies. Kibale national park is also home to numerous bird species. You will spend 1 hour with the chimpanzees in the Kibale forest and return to the park headquarters to receive your certificates for completing the chimpanzee trek.
Day 4: Visit Semuliki hot springs and nature walk
You will have breakfast at the hotel in Kibale national park after which your guide will drive you to Semuliki national park to visit the Sempaya hot springs. These hot springs are male and female hot springs and during the tour to the hot springs, you will learn a lot about them, boil eggs in the hot springs, engage in a nature walk, and also see primates such as vervet monkeys and colobus monkeys and also see various bird species. You will also enjoy a boardwalk to the hot springs and hear folk stories of how the Sempaya hot springs were formed. After this tour, your guide will drive you to the hotel for a relaxing evening as you prepare for dinner and an overnight stay.
