2 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari Overview
This safari will reward you with a great opportunity of having an amazing game drive in the park seeing Uganda kobs, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and elusive leopards to list a few. You will also have a boat ride on the Kazinga channel where you will spot different bird species like kingfishers and watch animals like crocodiles, hippos in the water. Elephants, buffaloes, and warthog may be seen drinking water at lake shores.
Brief itinerary
- Day 1: Pickup from your hotel/airport pickup/transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
- Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Kampala>Queen Elizabeth National Park . The safari driver will meet you at the hotel or place of residence very early in the morning, brief you about the safari and set off for the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will drive through Mityana town with an enroute lunch stopover. After lunch, you will proceed for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. The Kazinga channel is a 42km stretch connecting Lake George and Edward, with rewarding big herds of buffaloes, school of hippos, Nile crocodiles and different bird species like the rare African skimmers and Lesser flamingos. After the cruise, you drive to the hotel for check-in, short relaxation, dinner and overnight. After lunch, we prepared for our boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. The boat takes about 2 hours with a lot to offer like; crocodiles busking by the lake shores, big schools of hippos and different animals swimming like the elephants and buffalos. After the cruise, we shall then do an evening game drive viewing more animals like the cats in action, herds of kobs, and elephants among others. Later we shall drive to our hotel for check-in.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala. You will have an early breakfast and head out for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains exposing you to species like African elephants, African Cape buffaloes, Uganda kobs, leopards, lions among several other species. After this experience, you will check out from the lodge and exit the park as you drive back to Kampala. Upon arrival, Optional drop off at your hotel or at the airport for your flight.
