Detailed Itinerary – 3 Days Gorilla Tracking Rwanda

Day 1: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park

Meet Jewel Safaris representative at the airport or Hotel if already in Kigali, have briefing on your safari and start for  Parc Nationale Des Volcanoes also known as Volcanoes National Park.

Depending on arrival time, you may have city tour and visit the Genocide Memorial Centre.  Proceed to the lodge arriving in time for lunch. Meals and Overnight accommodation at Five Volcanoes or Virunga Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking

Following early morning breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters in time for briefing on your Gorilla Walk. Grab your walking stick and start searching for Gorillas with experienced and knowledgeable rangers who share detailed information on the Gorillas, Flora and Fauna of Volcanoes National Park. Meet the Gorillas and later follow your footsteps back to the lodge. 

In the afternoon you have option to visit Ibyiwacu Cultural Village, an organized neighboring community. You will have an insight into Rwanda Culture and be entertained.

Meals and Overnight accommodation at Five Volcanoes or Virunga Lodge.

Day 3: Volcanoes National Park – Kigali/Departure

After morning breakfast, start for Kigali city with stops at places of interest for photography, craft shopping and stretching . Visit the Genocide Memorial Centre in case you didn’t have it on day 1 and proceed to the airport arriving in time for your next international flight.
