Also known as the Arab Fort and by other names, it is a historic fortification located in Stone Town, Zanzibar’s capital. As the oldest building in Stone Town, it stands on the main seafront, adjacent to the House of Wonders (the former palace of the Sultan) and overlooking Fordhani Gardens.
