JEWEL SAFARIS CSR AT JUMBO JUNIOR SCHOOL
Jumbo Junior School is a children’s home that was founded in 2009 on the principle of “Equal Opportunity to Education for all Children regardless of their vulnerability”.
We believe the best way to support these vulnerable children and build a better future for them through formal education alongside other children that they admire and wish to live a similar good life in formal school environment equipped with all required basic needs, facilities, learning aids and trained teachers.
We focus on providing formal education while fostering vulnerable children as our strategy to promote children’s integration into mainstream society to reduce the risk of marginalization and promote psychological intellectual development.
We support the creation of an enabling environment in which these children are valued, care and protected from abuse, neglect and exploitation
We believe in a strategy of establishing low cost investments to generate steady income for sustainable support. Major focus is growing of fruits like Bananas, passion fruits, grapes, avocado, mangoes and pawpaw; then farms like piggery and rabbits that provide a source of compost fertilizers to improving yields of the school plantations. Through these projects, the school earns a little more income and students can sometime feed on these produces.
