This classic Ugandan Safari Adventure takes you on a tour to the prime attractions of Uganda, this tour involves the exciting gorilla and chimpanzee trekking on which you will have a close encounter with endangered primates of chimpanzees and mountain gorillas in their natural habitat and wildlife species such as elephants, buffaloes, elephants, zebras and many bird species.
This Uganda Tour takes you on a safari to Murchison Falls National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Queen Elizabeth National Park which are the most popular safari destinations in the country.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 7 DAYS CLASSIC UGANDA GORILLA EXPEDITION
Day 1: Transfer Entebbe – Kampala
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer to Kampala, check in at your hotel. Spend the rest of day at the hotel or have a short Kampala city tour.

Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover at the Equator where you will have a chance to stand in two hemispheres that is Northern and Southern hemispheres at a single moment.
When you arrive in Lake Mburo National Park, you will check in at your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon. You will go for a boat ride, you will see Nile crocodiles, hippos and many birds such as Papyrus Gonolek, Brown faced Lapwing. Carruther’s Cisticola, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced-Go- Away bird among others.
After the boat ride, you will have an evening game drive along the Lakeshore track where you will see herds of zebras, cape buffaloes, elands, oribi and topis among others. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, you will go for a game drive or a safari walk escorted by an armed ranger, the walking safari provides excellent opportunities to get close-up view of the animals and perfect for a keen photographer. You will visit the kopjes which are particularly interesting and camouflage klipspringers and topis. Because of the cattle herding in the area, you will see zebras grazing alongside the long – horned Ankole cattle.
After lunch, you will you proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with drive through the “Switzerland of Africa” known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive in the evening, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After morning breakfast, you will head to the park’s headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. A senior ranger will take you through rules and regulations to be followed while in the presence of the gorillas and in Bwindi Forest.
You will be grouped into 8 people and be assigned one of the habituated gorilla groups to trek in Bwindi, the trek takes approximately 2-6 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and their feeding range. During the trek, you will spot other wildlife in the forest including black and white colobus monkey, olive baboons among others.
You will be rewarded 1 hour of being in the presence of the gorilla taking pictures and observing their amazing behavior and watch them play in the forests, you are allowed to take pictures as long as your flashlight is off.
Return to the park’s headquarters to pick your gorilla certificate and return to lodge or head to the Batwa village for an encounter with the local Batwa people, interact with them and taste their cuisine, be entertained by local dances and drama. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha Sector, head to the lodge for lunch and short rest. In the afternoon you will head to the Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise where you will see the highest concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles and many other animals along the shores such as elephants, buffaloes and many water birds.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth – Entebbe
After breakfast, you will head to the park for a morning game drive exploring the savannah plains of the park with excellent opportunities to see lion, leopards, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephants, Defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, Topi and bushbucks.
After lunch, you will embark on a journey back to Kampala with stops at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers enroute, here you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through generations. You will have another stop at the equator for photograph. Arrive in Kampala, early in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer
After breakfast, you will transfer to Entebbe airport for your international flight back home.
