High Altitude Training Centre (HATC) is where champs are mentored, created, nurtured and taught the winning techniques. A high percentage of Kenyan athletes who have performed well in athletics are usually from this center.High Altitude Training Centre is a source of world-class athletes. It is located 36kms northeast of Eldoret in Iten town and sits 2400m above sea level. Over the past decades and still counting, high altitude training center has been responsible for producing staggering numbers of World Champions and Olympic Medalists.High Altitude Training Centre was founded in 1999 by four-time world champion Lornah Kiplagat. The centre is equipped with several facilities and amenities such as a fully-equipped state of the art gym, a 400m all-weather tartan track, sauna, a 25m swimming pool and physiotherapy. Everyone is welcome here whether you are a world-class athlete or recreational runner. Worry not there are trainers or coaches here that suit all levels.
