Day 1: Zambezi River Dinner Cruise Experience

You will be transferred from Victoria Falls Airport to Phezulu Guest Lodge. After freshening up, you will be transferred and do the dinner cruise which offers everything and more. Not only the magical colours of the Zambezi River at dusk but savour a delicious multi-course meal prepared with fresh, local ingredients. From tantalizing appetizers and vibrant salads to succulent main courses and decadent desserts, the culinary journey reflects the region’s flavours. You’ll embark from the Waterfront and head off into the evening. After your favourite drink is poured, you’ll be ushered to your set table where a delectable series of dishes freshly prepared on the boat and paired with premium drinks are served. Silhouettes of elephants against the sunset and hippos noisily grunting in the distance will most certainly add to the ambiance. Day 2: Guided Tour of the Falls, Helicopter Flight, Boma Dinner and Drum Show

Today, you will do a guided tour of the falls which is a truly awe-inspiring experience. The sights, sounds, and smells give you a humbling feeling that here indeed is nature’s supreme masterpiece. After the guided tour of the falls, you will do the helicopter flight over the falls to appreciate the true splendor of Victoria Falls —viewing them from above. Later, it will be time for lunch at the Lookout Café, perched on the edge of the Batoka Gorge. This open-air café is one of the favorite places in Victoria Falls. It has spectacular views of the gorges and the Zambezi River. After lunch, you will transfer back to the lodge to freshen up and relax, waiting for the transfer to the boma dinner and drum show. Day 3: Flight to Kigali International Airport for Gorilla Trekking

On this day, you will check out from the guest house and transfer to the airport for your flight to Kigali International Airport. On Arrival, our  professional English-speaking driver guide will pick you up and drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for Gorilla trekking experience the next day. Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience

After breakfast, head out to the park head offices with a packed lunch while accompanied by your guide and have a briefing about the dos and Don’ts while in the park with gorillas. After that, head for gorilla trekking through the mist rainforest. Trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gentle giants. Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets At the end of this long and exciting adventure, you’ll return to the lodge for a well-deserved shower and relaxation. Day 5: Last Day With Us | Transfer To Kigali Airport

The day begins with a delightful breakfast, after which you will return to the mainland and prepare to drive back to Kigali International Airport for your scheduled flight back home.

Entry Requirements for This Tour:

220 Volts/AC50Hz. Sockets are UK-style, 3-pin square plugs. Power is from the government in the city/major towns and a generator with inverter backup in the Safari Lodges and Camps.

Currency:

Foreign currency must be changed at the Bank, Bureau de Change, and Hotel/Safari lodge/Camp/Resort.   Major Credit Cards, Master cards, Visa, and American Express, are usually accepted throughout the country.  Where credit cards are accepted, the payment will normally be recorded in US$ regardless of the card’s default currency.

Clothing:

Dress is mainly informal and should be comfortable as well as practical. Something warm should be brought along for early morning and evenings. Safari clothes are available from hotels/lodges/camps.

Baggage:

Where possible, travel light. Baggage space on safari is limited to a medium suitcase or soft bag per person plus a reasonable amount of hand luggage. There is a 15-kilogram per person limit on all flights to the wildlife sanctuaries. Excess luggage must be stored in your arrival hotel.

Water:

You will find many different of opinions of what is safe and what is not. We recommend for peace of mind, to drink local Bottled Mineral water. It is important to drink plenty of water, especially during the hotter months. We would recommend that guests drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water per day to limit the effects of dehydration.

Health;

Africa is a safe and secure destination; however, it is a good idea to take a few precautions.  Kindly consult your GP or local doctor at least 6 weeks before you travel, with regards to malaria prophylactics. East Africa is a known malaria area and preventive measures are essential. You are advised to take one of the recommended anti-malarial drugs.  Be sure to wear long-sleeved shorts and trousers after sunset and spray the exposed parts of your body with a mosquito repellent spray Remember to protect yourself from direct sun rays with sunscreen cream or a safari hat.

Gratuities:

As a guideline and dependent on how happy you are, we would suggest the following: The General Hotel/Lodge/Camp Staff – Approximately U$ 10.00 per person per day Driver Guides – Approximately US$ 15.00 to US$ 20.00 per person per day

Photography:

Please be careful when photographing public buildings, airports, bridges, the national flag, and people in uniform.  Ensure that you have sought permission before photographing local people and their villages.  If in doubt, please check with your guide.
