This 9 days Uganda flying safari is a typically flying safari covering the best parks in Uganda – the pearl of Africa including Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Entebbe
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of Jewel Safari and transfer to your hotel in Entebbe. Depending on arrival time, you will have a visit to the Mabamba Swamp for an encounter with several water birds including the elusive shoebill stork.
Have dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Entebbe International airport to catch your domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip or Mweya Airstrip. It is a flight of approximately one hour and upon landing, you will be welcomed by our guide and go for a game drive as you head to your lodge for check-in and lunch.
In the afternoon, you will return to the park for a game drive exploring the park, you will enjoy seeing many animals including herds of elephants, buffaloes, Ugandan kob, hippos, topi, waterbuck, giant forest hog, Nile crocodiles, spotted hyenas, chimpanzees and lions among others.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Morning game drive and Boat safari on Kazinga Channel
Have early breakfast, head to the Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. These plains are home to a huge population of Ugandan kob which are a magnet to predators like lions, leopards and hyenas.
During the game drive, you will encounter predator – prey action.Other animals you will see include buffaloes, giant forest hogs, Nile crocodiles, leopards, spotted hyenas, topis among others.
Have lunch and short rest at your lodge, then head to Kazinga Channel for a boat cruise. The Kazinga Channel is a natural water channel connecting Lake George and Lake Edward, the channel is renowned for hosting huge population of hippos which you see during the cruise.
You will also enjoy sightings of crocodiles in the waters, elephants, antelopes and buffaloes drinking water along the shores of the channel. For birders, the cruise is a retreat for you as you will see a variety of water birds including herons, the elusive shoebill, grey crowned crested crane among others.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 – Queen Elizabeth – Ishasha Sector
Have breakfast and head to the park’s Ishasha Sector for a full day game drive, the Ishasha Sector- the Southern Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park is famously known for hosting the tree-climbing lions which ae normally seen resting on tree branches.
During the game drive you will also see other animals including antelopes, elephants, buffaloes and many birds.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Ishasha to Bwindi National Park
Have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Ishasha Sector with en-route game drive.
Arrive in the park in time for lunch at your lodge after check-in, you will spend the rest of the day resting at your lodge or go for a forest walk. Have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Gorilla Trekking
Have early breakfast and head to the park’s headquarters where you will join fellow tourists for briefing about gorilla trekking and the right way to behave, a senior ranger will offer you detailed information about dos and don’ts while in the presence of the gorillas.
In groups of 8 people, you will head to the starting, enter into the forest of Bwindi with a ranger guide looking for gorillas.
The trek through the verdant forest takes about 2 to 6 hours to locate the gorillas and it depends on their movement, where they spent the previous and feeding range. Still on the same trek, you see other primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons and many birds.
When you locate the chimpanzees, you will spend one hour with them taking pictures and observing their behaviors and trails which is similar to that of humans, watch the babies play with each other among others.
You can take pictures as long as your flashlight is off, return to the park’s headquarters to pick your gorilla certificate then return either to your lodge for an afternoon rest. Or head to the Batwa Community for a cultural experience.

Day 7 – Fly to Murchison Falls
Have breakfast and head to Kihihi Airstrip to catch your morning flight to Murchison Falls National Park, upon arrival at Pakuba Airstrip. You will be received by our representative – your driver guide and head to your lodge for lunch and rest.
In the afternoon, you will head to the top of the falls with a game drive and sightings of several wildlife. At the top of the falls, you will watch the magnificent falls squeezing through the rocks in an 8 meters gorge. You will take as many photos as you like, with a game drive, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 – Morning game drive and cruise along the Nile
Have early breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive, early morning hours offer a great opportunity to see many animals such as lions, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, elephants, waterbucks and many birds.
After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for freshening up and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat cruise along the Nile. You will be able to see various animals such as Nile Crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, elephants along the banks of Nile and many different birds such as bee-eaters, colored kingfishers, the shoe billed storks among others.
The boat ride takes you to the bottom of Murchison Falls where you will be able to see the mighty waterfalls clearly.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – Fly home
Have breakfast at your leisure, be driven to the airstrip for your flight back to Entebbe International Airport. When you arrive at the airport, you will connect for your international flight back home.
