 Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

Your 3 days Murchison Falls adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kampala through Luwero Triangle, where your guide will share fascinating stories about Uganda’s history. The first major stop is Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where rhino tracking can happen on foot  After an exhilarating 2-3 hour rhino trek, enjoy lunch before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park.

Upon arrival, you’ll head straight to the Top of the Falls, where the Nile River explodes through a narrow gorge, creating a thunderous spectacle. Take stunning photos before checking into your safari lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise

Arise early in the morning, have breakfast, and head for an early morning game drive in the savannah in search of the Big five and other wildlife such as , hyenas, elephants, kobs, lelwel’s hartebeests, warthogs, many more. View  birds like Black-headed Lapwing, Blue-headed Coucal, Giant kingfisher, Swamp flycatcher, Abyssinian ground hornbill, Red-throated bee-eater, and others. The game drive is conducted preferably in the northern sector.

Return to the lodge for lunch before the highlight of your safari, a 2-3 hour boat cruise on the Nile. This relaxing yet thrilling ride will grant you an eccentric view of the Nile, bring you face to face with hippos, massive Nile crocodiles, and elephants drinking at the shore. The boat also offers unmatched birdwatching, including the rare shoebill stork (seasonal).

 After the boat cruise, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park to Kampala

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Kampala. You can opt for a brief stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (if you missed anything on Day 1) or Karuma Falls and Karuma Forest Reserve for a scenic break. Arrive in Kampala by early afternoon, with an optional drop-off at your hotel or Entebbe Airport.
