3 Days Queen Elizabeth Fun-Filled Family Safari – Overview
The safari takes you on a remarkable experience to the home of ‘tree climbing lions’ with plenty of wildlife species and different crater lakes. Finally, you will explore one of the beaches for relaxation and other recreational activities.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Kampala>Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start the day with breakfast then you will be picked by a Jewel Safaris professional safari driver guide to starting your journey to one of the most visited National Parks in Uganda. The scenic drive goes through the rolling hills of western Uganda. You will have an en-route stop over at the equator for a photo session, creating family holiday moments and you may also purchase some hand-made craft souvenirs before you proceed with your journey to Mbarara for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth and as you approach the park, you will have spectacular views of the Rwenzori ranges. Arrive, and check in at the lodge for evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have breakfast and head out for a game drive in the Kasenyi plains exposing your family to species like African elephants, African Cape buffaloes, Uganda kobs, leopards, and lions, and the park boasts a record of over 600 bird species. After, you will drive back to the lodge for hot lunch and take a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. The Kazinga channel is a 42km stretch, connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. The boat cruise rewards you with big herds of buffaloes, schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and different bird species. After the cruise, you can opt for a sundowner at one of the crater lakes or transfer back to the lodge for relaxation and overnight.
Day 3: Queen>Kampala. Have early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge, and embark on a leisure transfer to Kampala driving through Kasese, Fort portal, and Mityana. Arrival in Kampala will be later in the afternoon and depending on the level of fatigue, you may take a drive to the beach and have a relaxed evening on the beach side enjoying family beach activities, beautiful views, and the cool breeze from the lake and capture the sunset. Optional drop-off at the hotel or airport.
