3 Days Murchison Falls family safari overview

This family safari takes you to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest safari park with the world’s most powerful waterfall. Some of the exciting activities to participate in include, a boat cruise, and game viewing while staying in the comfort of a luxurious lodge.

• Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
• Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise
• Day 3: Transfer to Kampala

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Kampala>murchison Falls National Park. After breakfast, your family will be picked up from the hotel by a jewel safaris professional driver guide who will brief you about the safari then you will have a leisure transfer to En-route to Murchison, you may have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for the rhino trekking activity which takes about 2 hours. At the rhino sanctuary, you get an opportunity to get close and watch the rhinos in their natural habitat. The activity has no age limit and therefore all family members can partake. You will have lunch after rhino tracking then continue with the journey to Murchison. Upon entering the park, you will drive to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park. Arise in the morning, have breakfast, and head out for a game drive in the savannah in search of wildlife such as Nubian giraffes, Lake Chad buffalos, lions, spotted hyenas, savannah elephants, Uganda kobs, lelwel’s hartebeest, common warthogs, oribis, bohor’s reedbuck and many birds like Black-headed Lapwing, Blue-headed Coucal, Giant kingfisher, Swamp flycatcher, Red-throated bee-eater, Black-billed barbet. The game drive is conducted in the Northern sector. After the game drive, you will have lunch at the lodge then prepare for a thrilling boat cruise on the Nile. The launch cruise will grant your family an opportunity to an eccentric view of the Nile, amidst the encounter of the huge Nile crocodiles, hippos, and several other wildlife. Later you will return to the lodge for evening relaxation, dinner, and overnight. 

Day 3: Murchison>Kampala. Today after breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to the top of the falls for a magnificent view of the Murchison falls. While here, you will enjoy the spectacular views with the roaring sound of the falls. Later you will drive back to Kampala passing through several towns like Masindi, Nakasongola, and Luwero and you may have a stopover at a local food market to purchase fruits like mangoes, and pineapples. Optional drop-off at the hotel or the airport.
