3 Days Uganda white water rafting & tubing the Nile Safari Overview
This safari takes you to the home of the best tourist attractions. Jinja has a lot of attractions that include the source of the Nile which is on River Nile and Jinja is also one of the historical towns in Uganda surrounded by water bodies.
Rafting is done in the white waters of the River Nile and offers relaxation, killing stress, and having fun.
Brief itinerary
- Day 1: Pickup from your hotel/airport pickup/transfer to Jinja
- Day 2: Half day water rafting and tubing on the Nile
- Day 3: End of safari
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Kampala>Jinja . Have breakfast at leisure and start the drive to Jinja. You will drive via Mabira forest for a forest nature walk looking at species like monkeys, birds, tree squirrels, and the rare antelope called common duicker. Later roceed to Jinja for lunch and do an afternoon boat cruise to the source of the Nile. You will return to check-in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Jinja. After your breakfast, embark on a morning drive to the world’s longest river for a half-day rafting experience. You will carry lunch boxes and set off to the briefing point in time for your half day white water rafting adventure. You will be briefed about the activity before getting a familiarization experience to prepare your mind. You will then start this mind-blowing experience which will take you rowing through the turbulent Nile rapids. This adrenaline raising activity also gives you time to relax, spot birds and watch local fishermen fishing along the river banks. You will later have lunch and shortly drive to the briefing point for the tubing on the more calm waters. Depending on the water level, flat water tubing can take about 2-3 hours. This is a relaxing water floating activity done while sunbathing, enjoying the bird life and beautiful sceneries. You will then drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Jinja>Kampala. Have breakfast at leisure before checking out and setting off for Kampala. Arrive for lunch and later an optional drop off at your hotel or at the airport for your flight.
