2 Days Uganda birding safaris

This 2 Days Uganda birding safaris offers you the best of the brief but an exciting bird experience in Uganda. It consist of bird watching at Uganda wildlife education center (UWEC) Entebbe botanical gardens home to several Uganda bird species within the area of Kampala including lake Victoria then later heading to Mabamba swamps 50 km from Kampala home to many bird species including the shoe bill stock.

Day 1: arrival and birding at the Entebbe botanical gardens. In the morning after breakfast on the first day 2 Days Uganda birding safaris, you will be driven to Uganda wildlife education center (UWEC) formerly Entebbe zoo there you will see animals living in captivity but your focus will be birds both water bird and other species, later you will move to Entebbe botanical gardens home to several bird species in Kampala and the surrounding areas the species you will be able to sight include the northern masked weaver bird, African paradise, crested Shrike fly catcher, African fish eagle, black necked weaver bird, grosbeak waver bird, African goshawk. Have lunch as you relax from the bird watching exercise. Later in the evening, you will return to hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Birding at Mabamba swamps

In the morning after breakfast on the last day of your 2 Days Uganda birding safaris, your guide will pick you and drive you west wards to Mabamba swamps, the swamps is famous for harboring large numbers of elusive shoe bill Stocks in Uganda. As soon as you reach Mabamba swamps, you will be briefed about your movement and you get into a canoe that is being paddled by an experienced local personal as you move in the narrow swampy while in the swamps you will be able to see several birds to mention black headed heron, papyrus gonalek, African water rail,squacco heron, bishop weyns weaver, yellow billed duck, white face whistling duck, African jacana and off course the elusive shoe bill stock etc.

Later board you will to your car and drive back to Kampala, get to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Or de dropped to the airport for your scheduled flight. End of safari.
