3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Tour Overview
This is an interesting short safari that sees you visit one of Uganda’s largest national parks filled with multiple attractions. Among the high lights of the safari include: game drives in the park seeing lions, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, elusive leopards, and many more, top-of-the-falls hike, launch cruise on the Nile spotting wildlife and also Nile crocodiles, hippos and birds.

Brief itinerary
- Day 1: Pickup from your hotel/airport pickup/transfer to Murchison via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
- Day 2: Murchison-game drive and boat cruise
- Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking – Transfer to Kampala
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Kampala> Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary> Murchison Falls National Park.
Pick up from your hotel, briefing on your safari and start for North-western Uganda. You will have a detour of the Rhino Sanctuary established to reintroduce Southern White Rhinos into Uganda. Proceed to sanctuary and track the rhinos. You will have lunch then continue with the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will visit the top of the falls in the afternoon and appreciate nature, this point is perfect for photography.
Transfer to the lodge for relaxation, meals and overnight.
Day 2: Murchison Falls. After breakfast, you will embark on an early morning game viewing of animals like Lelwel’s hartebeest, Bohor’s reedbuck, and common warthogs among others. Then later return to the hotel for hot lunch before taking on the afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls in search of more aquatic life like hippos, Nile crocodiles, Nile monitor lizards, and many animals descending on the river banks and some Red-throated bee-eaters nesting at the Nyamunsingiri cliff. After the cruise, you will take a short game drive heading back to the lodge.
Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking> Kampala. After breakfast, you will check-out from the lodge and start your drive to Kaniyo Pabidi for a half day chimpanzee trekking activity, arriving in time for briefing. . After the briefing, you will be led into the forest through the tracking trail by a ranger. The guide will explain more about the animals, birds and plant species that you will encounter along the trail. Some of these species include black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys among others. Depending on the movement of the chimpanzees, the activity can take about three hours. Upon finding the chimps, you will have about an hour watching them play, eat, rest and going about their day. back to Kampala. After you will start your journey back to Kampala with an optional drop off at your hotel or at the airport for your flight.
