Detailed Itinerary – 4 Days Uganda White Water rafting & Tubing the Nile

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND PICKUP

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the company representative. Depending on your time of arrival and level of fatigue, you can choose to either transfer to your hotel or visit Uganda Wildlife Education Centre for an experience behind the scenes. While here, you will have a closer interaction with the animals like feeding the chimps, giraffes, interacting with one of the oldest non-evolving birds called the Shoe-bill stork, and visiting the tigers. We shall then drive to the hotel in Kampala overnight.

DAY 2: WHITE WATER RAFTING

After your breakfast, we shall embark on a morning drive to the world’s longest river for a full-day rafting experience. We shall carry packed lunch and have a short drive to the briefing point in time for your full-day white water rafting adventure. You will be briefed about the activity before getting a familiarization experience to prepare your mind. You will then start this mind-blowing experience which will take you rowing through the turbulent Nile rapids. This adrenaline-raising activity also gives you time to relax, spot birds, and watch local fishermen fishing along the river banks. We shall then drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: BOAT CRUISE AND TUBING THE NILE

On this day after breakfast, we shall take a motorboat ride to the source of the longest river in the world ‘River Nile’. Along the Nile cruise, we shall come to close encounters with more birdlife of species like Green-backed Heron, African Darter, Giant and Malachite Kingfisher, Little Egrets, and the famous Nile monitor lizards. The cruise also gives a spectacular aerial view of the Nile where John Speke stood and spotted the source of the Nile and how the water flows from Uganda to the Mediterranean Sea. After the cruise, we shall have lunch and head out to the briefing point for the tubing on the more calm waters. Depending on the water level, flat water tubing can take about 2-3 hours. This is a relaxing water floating activity done while sunbathing, enjoying the birdlife and beautiful sceneries. We shall then drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: DEPARTURE

After breakfast, depending on the time of your flight, you can choose to visit Mabira forest or Sezibwa Falls along the way. We shall then transfer to Entebbe to catch your flight back home.
